Deck overview

Ghalta, Primal Hunger commands an aggressive mono-green stompy deck designed to deploy undercosted, high-power creatures and convert their presence into heavy mana discounts, rapid card draw, and explosive combat phases. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with 1-drop mana dorks to cast high-stat enablers like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Tangleweave Armor. Reaching 10 or more combined power discounts Ghalta down to just two green mana as early as Turn 4. The deck converts high creature power into continuous card advantage using engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. Finishing lines close out the game through trample damage boosted by Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Surrak and Goreclaw. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking stack-based interaction, the deck's high threat density ensures reliable recovery and persistent combat pressure.
