Deck overview

This deck is a competitive mono-black turbo combo powerhouse built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik fundamentally transforms the resource economy by allowing black mana symbols to be paid with 2 life. Supported by explosive acceleration like Dark Ritual, Culling the Weak, Lotus Petal, and Sol Ring, the deck consistently deploys K'rrik on Turn 1 or 2. Once K'rrik is on the battlefield, efficient tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Buried Alive, and Entomb set up rapid win lines. The primary route reanimates Necrotic Ooze with Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar in the graveyard, drawing the entire library while generating positive black mana. The turn concludes by casting Aetherflux Reservoir, generating storm, gaining massive life, and eliminating all three opponents simultaneously. Secondary win paths through Peer into the Abyss, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Bolas's Citadel provide lethal redundancy against disruption.
