Volgavoth Pain by Falcon7788

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck, helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, is a group-slug list that turns incidental opponent life loss into card draw and a growing commander, then finishes with a compact drain combo. The core engine pairs symmetrical draw effects - Howling Mine, Stormfist Crusader, Mikokoro, Center of the Sea - with draw-punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, Fate Unraveler, Kederekt Parasite, and Razorkin Needlehead. Every opponent draw and every first life-loss event feeds Valgavoth, generating cards and +1/+1 counters. The primary kill is an Exquisite Blood loop with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity. Peer into the Abyss acts as a one-shot alternate finisher, while Bolas's Citadel and All Will Be One plus Solphim, Mayhem Dominus provide late-game reach.
