Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters attrition strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The deck leverages -1/-1 counters as both resource generation and asymmetric removal. By deploying low-cost ramp into Auntie Ool, the deck converts self-inflicted blight costs and combat damage into card advantage while draining opponents whenever counters are placed on their creatures. Token engines such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs generate wide boards of deathtouch Snakes and Insects. The deck establishes strong board control using Kulrath Knight, which shuts down opposing attacks and blocks entirely, and Necroskitter, which steals opposing creatures as they die. The game closes through overwhelming combat damage, Triumph of the Hordes, or burn and life drain from Obelisk Spider, All Will Be One, and Lasting Tarfire.
