The Bear Necessities (in the works) by nathanielknopik

Format: Commander

Commander: Halsin, Emerald Archdruid and Inspiring Leader

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Selesnya token deck is a mid-range combo build centered on creating an arbitrarily large number of creature tokens. Halsin acts as a flexible activator: he gives Earthcraft a creature to tap and can convert one token into a 4/4 Bear, while the Inspiring Leader Background supplies the deck's core +2/+2 anthem. Rhys the Redeemed plays the role of hidden commander, repeatedly copying the token swarm. The cleanest wins come from Rosie Cotton plus Scurry Oak or Earthcraft plus Squirrel Nest, then milling everyone with Altar of Dementia or using infinite mana from Ashnod's Altar to make Finale of Devastation a hasty finisher. The rest of the list is token-multiplier redundancy and card draw.
