Format: Commander

Commander: Avatar Aang // Aang, Master of Elements

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Avatar Aang is a four-color value engine built to transform into Aang, Master of Elements, whose {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} discount powers a burst of cheap spells and whose upkeep flip drains each opponent for 4 and draws four cards. The deck's primary plan is to resolve the four nonblack bends on the front face-firebend via attacking with Aang, earthbend via Haru or Ba Sing Se, airbend via Lessons, waterbend via Crashing Wave-to flip as early as turn 5. Once flipped, it chains Allies, Lessons, and Sagas into an Ally/land-creature army. Backup plans are tribal beatdown with Bumi's extra combat and the Avatar Kyoshi/Yangchen/Kuruk sagas. There is no true hidden commander; the deck is built around the back face.
