Deck overview

Led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen, this mono-red Dragon tribal deck focuses on ramping into colossal flying threats and overwhelming opponents with explosive aerial combat. The game plan relies on early mana rocks and tribal cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant to cast Lathliss on Turn 5. Once Lathliss is established, every subsequent nontoken Dragon triggers her ability, doubling the board presence by creating 5/5 flying Dragon tokens. Payoffs such as Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, and Terror of Mount Velus convert these dragon entries into immediate direct burn and lethal combat bursts. The deck features potent creature sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction to reset aggressive opposing boards, but lacks stack interaction and resilient protection for its commander. While vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and wipes, the deck's high density of independent high-power threats allows it to close out games swiftly through crushing mid-game combat damage.
