Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green stompy strategy built around Kona, Rescue Beastie. The primary game plan accelerates mana on the opening turns, deploys a safe tap enabler such as Springleaf Drum, Holdout Settlement, or Jaspera Sentinel, and casts Kona on Turn 3 or Turn 4. Tapping Kona before the postcombat main phase triggers its Survival ability, cheating colossal game-ending permanents directly onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. Payoffs include devastating Eldrazi, Wurms, Praetors, and Dinosaurs such as Worldspine Wurm, Void Winnower, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, and Apex Altisaur. Once a massive threat hits the board, power-based draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker refill the hand, while damage multipliers like Unnatural Growth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and Overwhelming Stampede quickly close out the game through lethal trample combat. Backup cheat engines like Monster Manual // Zoological Study and Natural Order ensure resilience even if Kona is removed.
