Deck overview

Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist form a premier cEDH Temur midrange and storm combo deck. The strategy leverages explosive fast mana to deploy Pako on Turn 2 with haste, immediately exiling four cards per combat to fuel an enormous card advantage engine through Haldan. The deck pairs this aggressive card velocity with an elite suite of free interaction, including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Force of Will, and Veil of Summer, ensuring that its board development remains heavily protected. Victory is primarily achieved through a lightning-fast Underworld Breach loop utilizing Lion's Eye Diamond and Brain Freeze into Thassa's Oracle, or via Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal to generate infinite mana and bounce the board with Hullbreaker Horror. If combo lines are contested, Pako functions as an imposing clock that rapidly eliminates opponents through commander damage and extra turn spells while continually drawing gas from all four libraries.
