Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is a dedicated Hydra tribal stompy build led by Polukranos Reborn // Polukranos, Engine of Ruin. It leverages a dense land package and green ramp spells to accelerate into massive X-cost and scaling beaters such as Primordial Hydra, Hydra Omnivore, and Gargos, Vicious Watcher. The deck assembles a stable mana base by Turn 5 and applies critical combat pressure on Turn 6. While Polukranos, Engine of Ruin creates token resilience against standard destroy wipes, the strategy is vulnerable to exile sweepers, mass bounce spells, and fast combo decks due to a lack of stack interaction and zero proactive stax pieces. Protection spells like Asceticism, Inspiring Call, and Your Temple Is Under Attack safeguard the board against spot removal, allowing the deck to systematically eliminate opponents across successive combat steps by Turn 9.
