Deck overview

This Azorius deck focuses on creature-tapping synergies, token swarms, and combat pressure led by Katara, Water Tribe's Hope. In the early turns, the deck develops a wide board of low-cost creatures and utility artifacts that benefit from becoming tapped, such as Fallowsage, Attentive Sunscribe, and Glimmer Seeker. Once Katara enters the battlefield, she converts tapped permanents into mana velocity using her Waterbend ability, pumping the entire team into massive threats. Alternate payoffs like Throne of the God-Pharaoh turn tapped boards into direct life loss, while Devout Invocation converts small creatures into an army of 4/4 Angels. The deck plays a fair, interactive mid-power game with strong combat scaling, but requires careful management of board wipes and creature removal due to its reliance on surviving wide boards.
