Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy abzan counters/combo deck helmed by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The primary game plan is to generate a dense board of creatures with +1/+1 counters, then use Tayam's activated ability to remove three counters, mill three cards, and reanimate a permanent with mana value 3 or less. The deck loops this ability to assemble infinite combos, most notably Devoted Druid + Basking Broodscale for infinite green mana, then using Tayam to recur Walking Ballista from the graveyard for a lethal kill. The deck also packs a stax subtheme (Archon of Emeria, Drannith Magistrate, Deafening Silence) to slow opponents while the combo is assembled. Secondary win conditions include Luminous Broodmoth + persist creatures for infinite combat value, or using Ashnod's Altar + undying creatures to generate infinite mana or death triggers. The commander is both the engine and the primary outlet, making the deck highly dependent on keeping Tayam on the battlefield.
