Deck overview

This Boros deck commands a creative theft, donation, and flicker strategy helmed by Zidane, Tantalus Thief. By combining temporary Act of Treason effects with blink spells that return permanents under your control (such as Cloudshift and Conjurer's Closet), the deck permanently steals opposing creatures while generating a continuous stream of Treasure tokens whenever control shifts. It accelerates early with efficient mana rocks and donation engines like Humble Defector and Yes Man, Personal Securitron, establishing early card advantage and ramp velocity. In the midgame, trigger doublers like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Panharmonicon amplify theft triggers, overwhelming opponents through combat damage or an Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos clock. Additionally, the deck contains an opportunistic Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Felidar Guardian infinite combo for instant finishes, backed by a dense suite of instant-speed blink protection spells.
