God of Fury by Tenzo

Format: Commander

Commander: Kratos, God of War

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-red deck, helmed by Kratos, God of War, is a blistering blend of group-slug pressure, extra-combat chaining, and damage-multiplication. Kratos gives all creatures haste and punishes opponents who hold back by dealing damage at each end step equal to the number of creatures they didn't attack with. The deck leverages this built-in clock alongside cards like Aggravated Assault, Neheb, the Eternal, and Karlach, Fury of Avernus to chain extra combat phases, while Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus triple or double the damage from combat as well as burn effects. Wins come through overwhelming combat damage, Insurrection stealing the board, or massive non-combat burns from Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors. The plan is aggressive, fast, and heavily reliant on the commander's haste enabler to start the engine.
