Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet spellslinger and storm list helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm, with Lutri, the Spellchaser providing auxiliary utility. The strategy accelerates through cheap artifact ramp and cost reducers to deploy Alania by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it triggers critical onset by copying high-yield mana rituals such as Seething Song and Mana Geyser, converting spell velocity into card advantage through Archmage Emeritus and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck closes the game on the onset turn, utilizing copied burn finishers such as Crackle with Power or pingers like Guttersnipe and Coruscation Mage to deal lethal damage across the entire table simultaneously. Because Alania gifts card draws to opponents upon copying spells, piloting the deck demands careful sequencing around opposing interaction.
