Deck overview

This is a Simic +1/+1 counters midrange deck helmed by Zimone, Paradox Sculptor. The plan is to seed counters onto efficient bodies, then explode them with doubling effects from Zimone's activated ability, Kalonian Hydra, Deepglow Skate, The Earth Crystal, Loading Zone, and Innkeeper's Talent. Primary wins are overwhelming combat-often rendered unblockable by Herald of Secret Streams-and a secondary poison clock via Venerated Rotpriest plus proliferate. The 99 also hides classic infinite-mana packages (Incubation Druid or Crystalline Crawler under Freed from the Real / Pemmin's Aura) that convert into huge draws or lethal boards. Zimone is a strong combat-step enabler and doubler but is not required for the combo lines or the bulk of the counter package, so the deck still functions if she is answered.
