Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos Treasure midrange strategy commanded by Locke, Treasure Hunter. Locke provides early card advantage and mana velocity by milling cards across the table upon attacking and creating Treasure tokens whenever lands are milled. The 99 builds upon this foundation with explosive token multipliers such as Xorn and Academy Manufactor, combat-driven resource engines like Grim Hireling and Professional Face-Breaker, and potent impulse-casting payoffs like Prosper, Tome-Bound. Rather than relying on fragile infinite combos, the deck achieves victory through compounding life drain from cards like Mirkwood Bats, Ingenious Artillerist, and Nadier's Nightblade, or through alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches. Supported by efficient removal, free interaction spells, and resilient recursion, the deck maintains steady pressure while converting artifact generation directly into lethal damage.
