Deck overview

This Grixis typal midrange deck is commanded by Loki, the Deceiver, focusing on aggressive combat lines, temporary creature cloning, and steady card advantage. The game plan centers on deploying efficient low-curve Villains such as Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord and Prowler, Clawed Thief, followed by Loki to generate attacking token duplicates that multiply enters-the-battlefield and combat damage triggers. The deck leverages the connive mechanic to filter cards into the graveyard, powering up creatures with +1/+1 counters and enabling cost-effective Mayhem casts or reanimation spells like Reanimate and Behold the Sinister Six!. Decisive pressure arrives on Turn 6 via game-ending typal anthems such as The Squadron Sinister and Doctor Octopus, Master Planner, which grant evasion, massive power boosts, and haste. Backed by versatile removal and asymmetric board wipes, the deck systematically dismantles opposing life totals over two combat rotations.
