Deck overview

This Golbez, Crystal Collector deck is a Dimir artifact midrange strategy centered on artifact velocity, graveyard manipulation, and burn. The game plan starts by deploying low-cost artifact mana sources, artifact lands, and token engines such as Sai, Master Thopterist to establish board presence. Casting Golbez on Turn 2 or 3 enables consistent surveil filtering whenever artifacts enter. Once four artifacts are controlled, Golbez returns discarded high-power threats—such as Jokulmorder, Ancient Stone Idol, and Metalwork Colossus—from the graveyard to hand each end step. Upon reaching eight artifacts, Golbez transforms this recursion engine into a direct-damage clock, draining each opponent for life equal to the returned creature's power. Backed by large artifact beaters and Thopter swarms, the deck exerts simultaneous burn and combat pressure to close out games.
