Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord helms a Grixis midrange deck that weaponizes the Amass Orcs mechanic and Ring temptation triggers into overwhelming card advantage and lethal combat steps. Sauron punishes opponents whenever they cast spells by growing an Orc Army, then filters your hand by discarding and drawing four fresh cards whenever an Army deals combat damage or the Ring tempts you. The primary path to victory leverages stacked Nazgul Wraith buffs, Lord of the Nazgul army wide anthems, and unblockable combat finishers enabled by The Black Gate and Rogue's Passage. Secondary lines employ devastating Living Death mass reanimation turns or Fall of Cair Andros damage combos to eliminate the entire table.
