Deck overview

Edgar Markov leads a low-to-the-ground Mardu Vampire tribal deck that weaponizes his eminence ability to flood the battlefield with tokens on every creature cast. By establishing an early curve of cheap Vampires, the deck rapidly generates a wide token army without needing to cast its commander. The primary game plan overwhelms three opponents through synchronized combat damage powered by tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain and Captivating Vampire. Secondary drain lines through Blood Artist, Sanctum Seeker, and Malakir Bloodwitch turn wide attacks and creature trades into non-combat life loss. Powerful top-end engines like Bolas's Citadel and Living Death ensure rapid rebuilding and decisive mid-game finishes.
