Deck overview

This Mono-Red Dragon Tribal deck helmed by Lathliss, Dragon Queen focuses on ramping into heavy aerial beaters to overwhelm opponents with scaling combat damage. Early turns are dedicated to establishing mana velocity through cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and mana rocks like Dragon's Hoard. Once Lathliss enters on Turn 5, casting subsequent Dragons produces 5/5 flying Dragon tokens, rapidly doubling board presence. The deck closes games through overwhelming aerial pressure boosted by global haste enablers like Dragon Tempest, burst damage triggers from Scourge of Valkas, and double strike from Terror of Mount Velus. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game combat potential and asymmetric sweepers like Breath Weapon, it lacks stack-based interaction and proactive stax, making it reliant on untapping with high-CMC permanents and vulnerable to mass exile or board wipes.
