Format: Commander

Commander: Bard the Bowman

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Azorius card-draw control deck that uses Bard the Bowman as a curve-topping value piece while the actual finish comes from two compact artifact/enchantment combos. The primary plan is to draw aggressively, slow opponents with counterspells and Propaganda/Dissipation Field, then find Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista, or Isochron Scepter plus Dramatic Reversal plus Walking Ballista. Bard, King of Dale sits in the 99 as a hidden commander, doubling draws and tokens for a secondary beatdown path. The commander himself provides incremental lifelink/counter pressure but is not required for any combo line.
