Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Group Slug and Combo build commanded by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. The strategy applies persistent table-wide pressure by turning unspent mana, land tapping, and card draws into direct life loss. It uses an extensive suite of low-cost mana dorks and rocks to accelerate ahead of curve, establishing early board presence with taxing permanents like Citadel of Pain, Defense Grid, and Manabarbs. These symmetrical burn pieces break parity because the deck generates mana through creatures and artifacts while advancing toward a compact infinite finish with Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. Once Bloodchief Ascension is charged with three quest counters, any instance of life loss or mill starts an infinite chain reaction that drains all opponents and mills their libraries simultaneously. Efficient Jund removal, free spells like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick, and targeted protection keep the engine resilient against disruption until the winning line resolves.
