Deck overview

This Boros Dwarf tribal deck is helmed by Thorin Oakenshield, leveraging the "Storied" mechanic to unlock powerful synergies once you control three or more artifacts, legendaries, and/or Sagas. The primary game plan is to establish an enduring story, granting ward {1} to your artifacts and creatures, then deploy a swarm of Dwarves equipped with cheap Equipment to create overwhelming combat pressure. Key payoff cards like Balin, Loremaster turn hand discard into massive draw and burn, while Shared Animosity and An Unexpected Party multiply the damage output of a wide board. The deck can also generate value from Treasure tokens via Orcrist, Goblin-cleaver and Smothering Tithe, and finish with a Blasphemous Act or Farewell reset. The commander provides trample and an early body, but the plan functions adequately without him thanks to numerous other Dwarf lords, Equipment, and Sagas that maintain the enduring story condition.
