Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer is a Golgari token-dominance deck: mana dorks develop fast, then the commander's affinity discounts token spells and X-spells. The primary plan is to bury opponents in Pest, Saproling, Faerie, and Spider tokens, finishing with Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or Vitalizing Wind. Secondary lines use Dina, Essence Brewer's sacrifice/counter engine to feed Jumbo Cactuar or move its power to another attacker, Peregrin Took plus Nuka-Cola Vending Machine to generate Food/Treasure advantage, and Exsanguinate/Torment of Hailfire as X-spell finishes. No hidden commander exists; Peregrin Took is the strongest supporting engine. The commander is a cost reducer and token-line catalyst, not a mandatory engine, so the shell stays functional if Witherbloom is repeatedly removed.
