Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Gorma, the Gullet, a commander that blends classic aristocrats sacrifice lines with explosive +1/+1 counter scaling. The deck uses cheap token generators and recurring creatures like Bloodghast, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Blight Mound to feed free sacrifice outlets. Each creature death grows Gorma while augmenting every subsequent nontoken creature entering the battlefield. The resulting massive power fuels potent draw engines like Greater Good and The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride, explosive mana generators like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and lethal drain outlets like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Defiling Daemogoth, and Blood Artist. While the deck possesses resilient graveyard recursion and devastating board wipes like Toxic Deluge and Culling Ritual, it lacks instant-speed stack interaction and dedicated protective spells, making careful sequencing around opposing sweepers essential.
