Deck overview

Eriette of the Charmed Apple helms an Orzhov enchantment deck that blends pillowfort defense, goad politics, and inevitable end-step life drain. The strategy neutralizes opposing threats by enchanting them with debuffs and goad Auras such as Darksteel Mutation, Coercive Impetus, and Ghoulish Impetus. Because Eriette prevents creatures enchanted by your Auras from attacking you or your planeswalkers, opponents are forced into aggressive combat against each other while your life total remains insulated. Meanwhile, each Aura you control accelerates Eriette's end-step trigger, draining each opponent and padding your life total. Enchantress engines like Kor Spiritdancer and Mesa Enchantress maintain full hand sizes, while cost reducers like Killian, Ink Duelist and Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor enable explosive multi-spell turns. If opponents manage to remove Eriette, the deck pivots smoothly into lethal combat with tall Aura buffs on evasive threats or mass token generation from Archon of Sun's Grace.
