Deck overview

This deck is a Simic +1/+1 counters and card advantage midrange deck led by partner commanders Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend. The strategy revolves around deploying Pir on turn 3 to tutor Toothy to hand, casting Toothy on turn 4, and utilizing Pir's counter-amplification ability to rapidly inflate Toothy whenever cards are drawn. The deck leverages passive draw engines, group draw artifacts, and cantrips to transform Toothy into a massive combat threat while stockpiling cards. When Toothy leaves the battlefield, its death trigger refills the hand, providing built-in resilience against targeted removal. Combat finishes are facilitated by evasion equipment such as Whispersilk Cloak, trample enablers, Overwhelming Stampede, and asymmetric board clears like overloaded Cyclonic Rift. An efficient interaction package of cheap countermagic and defensive fogs protects the commanders while stalling opposing attacks until the table is eliminated over turns 6 through 8.
