Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and Aristocrats strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan develops an early board of resilient Zombie creatures and mana acceleration, casts Gisa on Turn 4 or 5, and uses her activated ability to convert high-power creatures into wide armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Anthem lords such as Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Undead Warchief grant power buffs, menace, and deathtouch to push lethal combat damage. Meanwhile, Aristocrat engines like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opposing life totals whenever creatures enter or die. Card advantage engines such as Undead Augur, Midnight Reaper, and Cryptbreaker keep hand sizes full through repeated creature sacrifices. The deck excels at grinding incremental board advantage, recurring key threats from the graveyard, and wiping opposing creatures with Noxious Ghoul, closing the game around Turn 8 through wide combat swings and direct life drain.
