Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and graveyard theft strategy that uses mill enablers, clone creatures, and mass reanimation to turn opponents' win conditions against them. Commanded by Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, the deck stocks opposing graveyards with cards using Mesmeric Orb, Maddening Cacophony, and Consuming Aberration. Once high-value targets are available, Lazav, shapeshifters, and reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead replicate the strongest threats on the board. In the late game, high-impact spells such as Breach the Multiverse and Rise of the Dark Realms steal entire graveyards to assemble a lethal combat force. The deck maintains control with efficient low-cost interaction, including Swan Song, Counterspell, Pongify, and Toxic Deluge. While it lacks dedicated tutors, heavy redundancy among clone creatures and reanimation spells ensures consistent mid-to-late-game execution.
