Deck overview

This Dimir control deck leverages Sephiroth, Planet's Heir to convert creature death into a fast-scaling commander threat. The strategy centers on continuous, asymmetric toughness reduction using cards like Maha, Its Feathers Night, Kaervek, the Spiteful, and Toxrill, the Corrosive. When Sephiroth enters the battlefield, its -2/-2 sweep wipes opposing utility creatures and tokens, fueling +1/+1 counters. The deck disrupts fast opponents with premier free and low-cost interaction like Fierce Guardianship, Deadly Rollick, and Sudden Spoiling. Once the board is suppressed, it closes the game on Turn 8 through unblockable commander damage, double strike from Genji Glove, or life-drain triggers from Syr Konrad, the Grim and Massacre Wurm. It also features an oppressive land-lock synergy via Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Kormus Bell.
