Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Selesnya midrange strategy commanded by Trostani, Selesnya's Voice. The game plan revolves around generating large or numerous creature tokens, triggering Trostani's lifegain ability upon entry, and using her populate ability to duplicate the most threatening tokens in play. The accumulated life total fuels powerful scaling payoffs like Archangel of Thune, Nykthos Paragon, and Aetherflux Reservoir, while cards like Crested Sunmare, Ghalta and Mavren, and Gruff Triplets quickly build an overwhelming board. The deck ramps efficiently in the early turns to meet its heavy colored mana requirements, establishes its engine around turn 5, and turns sideways with massive buffed armies on turns 7 through 8. While vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and lacking deep tutor packages, its heavy functional redundancy, high life buffer, and resilient token armies make it a formidable combat powerhouse in casual multiplayer pods.
