Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger and hot-potato combo strategy led by The Twelfth Doctor and Vislor Turlough. The primary game plan revolves around The Twelfth Doctor's demonstrate ability, which triggers whenever the pilot casts their first spell each turn from anywhere other than their hand. By casting high-risk spells with lethal delayed triggers—such as Final Fortune, Last Chance, Warrior's Oath, and upkeep pacts—the deck forces opponents to copy them. While opponents face unavoidable defeat on their extra turns or upkeeps, the pilot uses turn-ending effects like Sundial of the Infinite and Obeka, Brute Chronologist, or stack exilers like Nivmagus Elemental, to cancel their own loss triggers. Redundant exile enablers like Dream Devourer and Prosper, Tome-Bound ensure steady triggers, while Hive Mind acts as a full-table backup win condition.
