Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. It establishes early board presence through efficient counter distributors like Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte, Gyre Sage, and Hardened Scales, then deploys Tidus to manipulate counters, draw cards, and proliferate upon dealing combat damage. The deck steadily snowballs board power by combining scalable mana dorks with draw engines such as Fathom Mage and Bred for the Hunt. In the mid-game, it pivots into lethal combat pressure using evasion and damage amplifiers like Chocobo Knights, Duskshell Crawler, Sphere Grid, and Damning Verdict. While vulnerable to mass bounce and exile effects, the deck maintains resilience through shield counters, death-trigger recursion, and redundant counter generators that allow it to operate effectively even without its commander.
