Peter Control

Format: Commander

Commander: Peter Parker // Amazing Spider-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Bant legendary-Spider-tribal deck helmed by Peter Parker // Amazing Spider-Man plays a midrange value game built around the web-slinging mechanic. The front face, Peter Parker, generates a 1/2 Spider token on entry-feedstock for the back face's discount ability. Once transformed, Amazing Spider-Man grants every one-or-more-color legendary spell web-slinging {G}{W}{U}, letting you cast them at a discount by returning a tapped creature (typically a token) to hand. The deck's primary plan is to chain discounted legendary spells-Spider heroes, value engines like Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn, and finishers like Absolute Virtue-while accumulating a board of +1/+1-countered, trampling creatures through Aunt May, Spider-Man India, and Garruk's Uprising. Wins come through combat damage, either by overwhelming with a wide board or deploying a haymaker like Jumbo Cactuar or Omega, Heartless Evolution.
