Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy spellslinger combo deck centered on the Prepare mechanic and creature-based spell recursion. Led by Codie, Ravenous Codex, the deck utilizes creatures that enter the battlefield prepared with iconic instant and sorcery copies. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the early turns using mana dorks and Talismans before deploying Displacer Kitten. Once Kitten is active, casting any prepared spell blinks its host creature, causing it to re-enter prepared and allowing repeatable spell loops. Pairing Displacer Kitten with Blazing Firesinger generates infinite red mana, which easily transitions into drawing the entire library and draining all three opponents using Witherbloom Apprentice or crushing them with an enormous Finale of Devastation. The deck balances its proactive combo game with efficient interaction like Mana Drain, Swan Song, and Heroic Intervention, while maintaining rapid recovery through graveyard recursion engines like Phyrexian Reclamation and Emeritus of Abundance // Regrowth.
