Deck overview

This deck is a Jund forced-combat and midrange attrition engine piloted by Thantis, the Warweaver. Its strategy compels opponents into mandatory attacks while punishing aggression with defensive deterrents, deathtouch blockers, and morbid death triggers. Early turns focus on ramping into 4–6 CMC combat manipulators like Fumiko the Lowblood, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Thantis by Turn 5. By forcing all creatures to attack each combat, the deck strips opponents of utility creatures and fuels draw engines such as Deathreap Ritual and Morbid Opportunist. Defensive cards like Crawlspace, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, and deathtouch webs discourage attacks against your life total. Once opposing life totals and boards are whittled down, the deck finishes the game around Turn 9 using overwhelming overruns such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Beastmaster Ascension, and Avenger of Zendikar.
