Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is both the mana engine and the kill condition of this Izzet spellslinger deck. Every noncreature spell puts a +1/+1 counter on her and pings each opponent for 1, and her {0} activation converts her power into a burst of blue and red mana - the fuel that keeps spell chains running. The 99 is built to exploit that loop: a dozen-plus cantrips and rituals for velocity, draw-per-damage pieces (Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, Tandem Lookout) to refuel mid-chain, and trigger doublers (Harmonic Prodigy, Veyran, Voice of Duality, Wizard's Staff) to turn every spell into multiple counters and pings. Niv-Mizzet, Visionary turns all noncombat damage into cards, while Urabrask // The Great Work and Electro, Assaulting Battery keep mana flowing mid-storm. The usual finish is a single explosive turn where Fated Firepower or Finale of Revelation enables enough pings to drain all three opponents at once.
