Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, who grants additional upkeep steps whenever she deals combat damage to a player. The strategy focuses on deploying early artifact token generators such as Saheeli, Sublime Artificer and Goblin Kaboomist, then connecting with Obeka to trigger multiple upkeeps per combat. These extra upkeeps accelerate resource generation through cards like Stormfist Crusader and Indulgent Tormentor. The primary route to victory involves casting an overloaded Rise and Shine to animate a wide board of noncreature artifacts into 8/8 beaters or enchanting a token with Mechanized Production to win through token replication. The deck also includes unique donation synergies using Bazaar Trader and Steel Golem, as well as flash punishers like Notion Thief and Opposition Agent. Its main limitations stem from a lack of instant-speed countermagic, low protection density, and reliance on Obeka connecting in combat.
