Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck is built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun, an uncounterable dragon that turns every instant or sorcery into card advantage and direct damage. The primary game plan is to control the board with a dense suite of counterspells and bounce spells, then deploy Niv-Mizzet, Parun and a supporting cast of spell-slingers like Guttersnipe and Ral, Storm Conduit to convert each spell into incremental damage. The deck lacks a dedicated infinite combo; instead, it relies on sustained value generation, chaining cheap instants and sorceries to draw cards and burn opponents out. Secondary win conditions include Jace, Wielder of Mysteries combined with self-mill, though the deck has no dedicated mill engine. The overall strategy is slow and grindy, centered on the commander's repeatable trigger.
