Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange and Voltron strategy commanded by Ygra, Eater of All. The core game plan exploits Ygra's static ability, which turns all other creatures into Food artifacts. As creatures die or are sacrificed across the battlefield, Ygra collects two +1/+1 counters for each permanent lost, rapidly swelling into a lethal attacker. Artifact board wipes like Rampage of the Clans double as asymmetric creature sweepers that simultaneously supercharge Ygra. Card draw engines such as Viridian Revel and Terrasymbiosis capitalize on opposing creature deaths and counter placement, ensuring continuous hand replenishment. While Ygra's innate ward ability taxes opponents by demanding creature sacrifices, the deck reinforces its commander with trample and hexproof enablers to push through lethal commander damage across turns 5 to 7. Alternate beaters like Rottenmouth Viper and Maha, Its Feathers Night provide powerful backup pressure if Ygra is delayed.
