Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Simic +1/+1 counters deck is helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man, a low-to-the-ground value engine that grows with each card drawn and can convert its counters into an Insect army. The primary game plan is to accumulate counters through proliferate, draw triggers, and combat, then leverage unblockable effects (Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, Distortion Strike) or trample (Training Regimen) to push damage through. The deck wins through incremental combat damage, not combo - it grinds out value via card draw, counter manipulation, and token generation. The commander acts as a flexible threat that can go tall or wide, but the deck does not rely on it exclusively.
