Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis reanimator and discard control deck that leverages efficient graveyard setup to cheat game-ending threats into play ahead of schedule. The primary game plan utilizes low-cost enablers like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Faithless Looting to deposit heavyweight creatures such as Archon of Cruelty, Terror of the Peaks, and Starving Revenant into the graveyard, followed by cheap reanimation via Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Dance of the Dead. Kefka, Court Mage functions as a potent command-zone value engine that enforces symmetrical discard while generating asymmetric card draw. The deck controls the board and protects its plays with premier free counterspells and removal before multiplying its threats with Saw in Half, Displacer Kitten, and Sakashima the Impostor to swiftly eliminate the table.
