Commander: Silverquill, the Disputant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov spells-and-sacrifice deck built to exploit Silverquill, the Disputant's casualty trigger. It develops a board of small tokens and value creatures, then spends those creatures to copy instants and sorceries. The extra copies feed magecraft payoffs like Professor Onyx and Sedgemoor Witch, generate armies through Monastery Mentor, Call the Coppercoats, and Inkshield, and turn Torment of Hailfire into a one-card finisher. The deck has two main pathways: grind opponents down with drain, tokens, and Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher/Elenda, the Dusk Rose recursion, or assemble the Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx combination for a magecraft kill. A secondary Sedgemoor Witch + Chain of Smog loop can feed Ashnod's Altar for infinite mana into X spells. It is a mid-speed value-control deck with a strong late-game.
