Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Treasure midrange deck commanded by Smaug the Magnificent. The strategy revolves around generating a high volume of Treasure tokens in the early game using efficient creatures and utility spells. Once a critical mass of artifacts is established, casting Smaug provides immediate pressure: his built-in haste and attack trigger turn hoarded Treasures into direct burn against any target. The deck compounds this advantage through damage multipliers, extra combat steps, and powerful Dragon threats like Goldspan Dragon and Ancient Copper Dragon. It closes games either by picking off players with scaling commander attack triggers or by funneling massive Treasure mana into a lethal Crackle with Power. Defensively, the deck leans on redirection spells to safeguard its key creatures while running artifact sweeps to disrupt opposing development.
