Obeka - too much initiative by Humanissue

Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an upkeep-trigger control/combo deck. Obeka, Splitter of Seconds turns every instance of combat damage into an extra upkeep, accelerating Descent into Avernus, Mechanized Production, suspend cards, monarch Courts, and initiative/dungeon payoffs. The primary path is the Descent/Mechanized Production loop, which creates enough Treasure tokens to trigger the eight-artifact alternate win condition; commander damage and monarch/dungeon beats are secondary. The deck can win without its commander because the Descent counter clock is self-sufficient, but Obeka remains the critical speed multiplier. It runs a robust 35-land base with about nine ramp rocks and enough interaction to protect the engine, though only a single tutor for the combo.
