Sauron, The Dark Lord: March of Mordor (LOTR Only) by TheAceWheelie

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis midrange Amass/Ring-temptation deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The plan is to deploy Sauron, then let every opposing spell grow a single Orc Army while combat damage and dedicated enablers repeatedly tempt the Ring for explosive hand refills (discard, draw four). A dense Nazgul/Wraith package (Nazgul 9, Lord of the Nazgul, Witch-king of Angmar) layers +1/+1 counters and menace bodies on top of the Army, supported by amass payoffs such as Mauhur, Uruk-hai Captain, Saruman, the White Hand, and March from the Black Gate. Wins come through combat pressure and opportunistic drains rather than infinite combos. Secondary angles include treasure-fueled dragons from There and Back Again and theft/pump from the other Sauron legendaries. The deck is heavily thematic and grindy, leaning on the command zone as its primary engine.
