Deck overview

This deck executes a controlling attrition game plan using Vren, the Relentless to convert opposing creature removal into lethal combat pressure. By pairing continuous sacrifice effects and asymmetric board wipes with Vren's replacement exile ability, the deck dismantles opposing creature boards while shutting down graveyard recursion. Each exiled creature fuels the creation of scaling Relentless Rat tokens at the end step, quickly generating a massive offensive force. The deck supports this core engine with cheap countermagic, dedicated card advantage engines like Idol of Oblivion and Unholy Annex // Ritual Chamber, and team evasion enablers such as Cover of Darkness and Piper of the Swarm. While highly effective against creature-reliant strategies, the deck remains vulnerable to spell-based combo decks and mass token wipes.
