Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros token-aggro deck led by Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost non-Gnome creatures on the first two turns, casting Anim Pakal on Turn 3, and immediately triggering her ability on Turn 4. From there, the deck snowballs Gnome generation exponentially, leveraging enter-the-battlefield burn pieces such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Warleader's Call to pressure life totals alongside massive wide combat swings powered by Cathars' Crusade or Divine Visitation. The deck features robust defensive layers with Clever Concealment, Flawless Maneuver, and Mother of Runes to protect its board against wipes, while Otharri, Suns' Glory and planeswalkers provide capable backup engines if the commander is removed. Although it includes an incidental infinite combat combo via Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host, the deck most reliably closes games by overwhelming the table through combat and direct burn by Turn 7.
